"Cleveland Schoolhouse Fire"

In Memory of:

On May 17, 1923 in Kershaw County, around three-hundred local citizens entered a little Schoolhouse outside of Camden SC, for a Children's play, but some of them would not return home that dreadful night. A fire that was caused by a (ceiling oil lamp) that fell to the floor, took seventy-seven lives that fateful night! Their souls now rest in peace, however, the memory of these shocking hours lives on.
